My particular beef with the “astronaut” while watching his interview the other day was when he mentioned “of course we WOULDN’T encourage kids to want to become astronauts, because chances are slim, but we encourage them to become scientists, doctors, etc…”

I think he just didn’t want another “national hero” to surpass his “achievements”.
